Indian Railway News: Additional Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel have been deployed at major stations to ensure the safety of passengers. To ensure smooth operation of trains, officers have been deployed on emergency duty at major stations.
Deepawali Special Train today 11 November: Indian Railways has run 1700 special trains to ease the travel of its passengers during the festive season, thereby providing relief to the people preparing to go to their homes in UP-Bihar. About 26 lakh new seats have become available. A railway official said that all these additional trains are being run to control the huge rush of passengers due to Diwali and Chhath Puja. The official said, ’26 lakh additional seats have been made available for the convenience of passengers.’
Demand for reserved seats increased
The demand for reserved seats in trains is very high, making it difficult for people planning to travel home to attend festivals during the festive season to get a reserved seat. Lakhs of people are standing at stations across the country to go home on the great festival of Diwali. In such a situation, the seats of lakhs of people have been confirmed. Actually these berths are different from regular trains. If berths of regular trains are included then the number of seats will increase significantly. Passengers are getting the benefits of these special trains.

Similarly, to ensure smooth operation of trains, officers have been deployed on emergency duty at major stations. Appropriate measures have been taken for frequent and timely announcement of arrival/departure of trains along with platform numbers.
