Indian Railway News: There is big news for those who travel without ticket in trains. Indian Railways is continuously taking action against passengers traveling without ticket. In this sequence, East Central Railway has caught 12 thousand 500 passengers traveling without ticket and collected a fine of Rs 95 lakh.
Patna: East Central Railway is running a special ticket checking campaign to catch passengers travelling without ticket or irregularly in trains. This checking campaign is going on intensively in the station as well as in the trains. In this sequence, a checking campaign is also being run against the passengers travelling illegally in the air-conditioned class. In this sequence, a special ticket checking campaign was run simultaneously in the five divisions of East Central Railway, Danapur, Sonpur, Samastipur, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Dhanbad. In this checking campaign, railway officials, supervisors, railway workers, TTEs and a large number of Railway Protection Force personnel were deployed at important stations of East Central Railway.
Jam campaign in all mail express trains
Checking campaign was run in all important mail-express trains. The air-conditioned coaches of 12365 Patna-Ranchi Janshatabdi, 12321 Howrah-Mumbai Mail, 12801/02 Purushottam Express, 11447 Jabalpur-Howrah Shaktipunj Express, 13351 Dhanbad-Alleppey Express, 13024 Gaya-Howrah Express, 11060 Jaynagar-LTT Pawan Express were specially checked. During the checking of these air-conditioned class coaches, a total of 450 ticketless/irregular passengers were caught, from whom Rs 03 lakh 15 thousand was recovered as fine.
Fine of Rs 95 lakh 55 thousand was recovered
Along with this, special ticket checking was also done in all passenger trains and MEMU trains and ticketless passengers were caught. This special ticket checking campaign was run throughout the day. A total of 12,500 ticketless/irregular passengers were caught in this checking campaign, from whom a fine of 95 lakh 55 thousand rupees was collected. Let us tell you that in all the five divisions of East Central Railway, continuous ticket checking is being done to catch the passengers traveling without ticket or without proper authority. This will continue in future as well. East Central Railway appeals to the passengers to always travel with proper travel tickets.
