New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced that Ahmedabad-Mumbai and Lucknow-New Delhi Tejas Express trains will be restarted from Saturday. According to IRCTC, train number 82901/82902 Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Ahmedabad and train number 82501/82502 Lucknow-New Delhi-Lucknow will run four days a week on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Passengers can book tickets on IRCTC website irctc.co.in or IRCTC Rail Connect app.
In fact, in the midst of the second wave of Corona epidemic in the country, the Railways had stopped the operation of Tejas Express. The New Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express was started in October 2019. This is the first train to be fully run by IRCTC. The journey of this train takes more than six hours to complete the journey in each direction. Tejas train provides various modern facilities free of cost to the passengers along with rail travel insurance of Rs.25 lakhs.
The Ahmedabad-Mumbai route was started in January 2020. It has two Executive Class chair cars, each with 56 seats each, as well as eight chair cars, each with a capacity of 78 seats. Passengers are provided with high quality food and beverages, which are included in the ticket fare. Apart from water bottle, RO water filter has been installed in each coach of this train. Rail travel insurance of up to Rs 25 lakh is also provided to the passengers of this train.
