Paperless travel with general ticket made on app
At present, on the lines of passenger reservation in Northern Railway Lucknow division, general tickets are being bought on the mobile phone app. Paperless travel is also getting the benefit of the general ticket made on the app. In fact, the Railways has now integrated the Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) with the UTS application on smart mobile phones.
In this way, book general tickets through the app
UTS Unreserved Ticketing Application can be downloaded through Play Store. For log-in in the application, first of all the railway passenger will have to register himself. At the time of registration, you will have to fill details like your mobile number, name, password, gender, date of birth to use and protect this application.
After this, an OTP will be sent by the Railways to the entered mobile number. The application can be logged in only through OTP. To use the application, it is mandatory to provide correct information about other important ID cards like PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Aadhar Card, Driving License.
Paperless ticket remains safe in UTS application
According to Railways, there will be two options for travel after ticket booking. In these, the paperless ticket will be safe in the UTS application and its print is not mandatory during the journey. The special thing is that this unreserved paper less ticket will not be cancelled. In the second option, the print of the booked ticket will have to be taken from the booking counter and ATVM of the journey starting station. Cancellation of these tickets can be done at the railway ticket counter.
One ticket can be booked for maximum four passengers
According to Railways, to book a general ticket, first enter the information of the journey starting station and destination station through the UTS application. After this select the route of travel displayed on your mobile screen. The special thing is that tickets can be booked only for minimum one and maximum four passengers. Children are also included in these. If there are more passengers than this, a new ticket will have to be made. While booking the ticket, it is necessary to select the class of Mail Express, Superfast train.
Information about the location of the train is also available
According to the Railways, the application will provide details of train availability as well as the actual travel status of the train in the next two to four hours from the originating station to the destination station before booking the journey ticket along with the passenger fare.
Payment can be made in this way
Railway passengers can also pay for the ticket by recharging R-Wallet or through other payment methods like net banking, credit card, debit card, UPI. The application will also have options like normal booking ticket, early booking ticket, platform ticket booking, season ticket booking, QR code.
