Train Ticket Price: Before Holi, Railways has announced a huge reduction in train tickets, giving great relief to the common man. With this, lakhs of passengers will enjoy train travel at a very affordable price. Northern Railway on Wednesday has decided to provide up to 50 percent relief on train tickets for people traveling in second class. This relief has been given in all the trains going towards Kashmir Valley.

Train tickets become cheaper by 50 percent

Let us tell you that, giving great relief to the passengers, Northern Railway has decided to reduce the train fare in Kashmir Valley on Wednesday. Officials said that Railways has restored normal fare in second class coaches in passenger trains in the Valley.

By reinstating ordinary fare for passengers traveling in second class coach, the ticket fare will be reduced by 40 to 50 percent. It can be understood that earlier the fare from Sadura station (Anantnag district) to Srinagar was Rs 35, but after the relief it has now come down to Rs 15.

Kashmir valley has got relief

Northern Railway officials said that this relief is applicable in the entire valley of Kashmir. After this, traveling by train has become very economical and cheap.

Rent increased after Corona

Let us tell you that the fares of trains running during the Corona period were increased. Earlier this month, Railways had given approval to implement pre-Covid fares across the country. With this, the common man will get up to 50 percent relief on second class train tickets.

Rail service is increasing rapidly in the valley

Rail services are currently restored from Baramulla city in the north of the valley to Sangaldan in Ramban district of Jammu division. By the end of April, rail service from Udhampur to Baramulla will become operational, connecting the valley with the rest of the country through railway services.
