Indian Railways: Now passengers will not face any problem in getting tickets to go to Mata Vaishno Devi. For the convenience of the people, Northern Railway has announced to run special trains. People of Delhi-NCR as well as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab will benefit from this. Along with this, Railways has also announced to run a new train for Varanasi.
New Delhi. People of Delhi-NCR as well as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab will not face any problem in visiting Mata Vaishno Devi Katra during Navratri.
For their convenience, Northern Railway has announced to run special trains. There will be operation of special trains till next month so that people can get confirmed tickets.
New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Special Train (04049/04050)
This special train will depart from New Delhi at 11:30 pm every Monday and Saturday from October 16 to November 30 and reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 11:25 am the next day.
In the return direction, it will depart from Katra every Tuesday and Sunday at 6:30 pm from October 17 to December 1 and reach New Delhi at 06:25 am the next day.
The route of this train consisting of air-conditioned, sleeper and general class coaches will be at Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu Tawi and Udhampur (Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan) stations.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Varanasi Special Train (01654/01653)
This special train will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 11:20 pm every Sunday from 22 October to 26 November and reach Varanasi at 11:55 pm the next day.
In the return direction, it will depart from Varanasi at 06:20 am every Tuesday from 24th October to 28th November and reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 11:20 am the next day.
This train consisting of air-conditioned, sleeper and general class coaches will stop at Udhampur (Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan), Jammu Tawi, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow and Sultanpur stations.
Special train will also run for Varanasi
Special train number 04049 will depart from New Delhi at 07.20 pm every Monday, Thursday and Saturday from November 6 to November 30 and reach Varanasi at 09:45 am the next day.
In the return direction, train number 04079 will depart from Varanasi at 06.35 pm every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday from November 7 to December 1 and reach New Delhi at 9 am the next day.
This train consisting of air-conditioned, sleeper and general class coaches will stop at Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Lucknow and Pratapgarh stations en route.
