Indian Railways: Good news for railway passengers amidst fears of lockdown, know what the railways said

New Delhi, Relief for the passengers has come from the railways amid the Corona epidemic and the possibility of lockdown. Central Railway says that summer special trains are being run continuously for the convenience of passengers. It is also clarified to the people that the declared regular and special trains of long distance will continue to run. In all these special trains, only confirmed ticket holders are allowed to travel in the train for following the rules and protocols of the corona. People are requested not to panic and do not rush towards the stations, arriving at the station only 90 minutes before.

Explain that the Railway Protection Force and the Government Railway Police have deployed additional forces to control the crowd outside Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. To tackle the second wave of Kovid-19, the Maharashtra government has announced a ban for the next 15 days on Tuesday. Restrictions will continue from 8 am to 1 pm on Wednesday night, excluding essential services. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had said that section 144 will remain in force during this period.




Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway Shivaji Sutar said that people should not panic and should not rush at the railway station. He said that only those passengers who are already having a reserved ticket are allowed to board the special train and will have to arrive at the station one and a half hours before the time of opening of the train. He said that the Central Railway is constantly monitoring the waiting list of trains and the demand for tickets for a particular destination.

23 special trains run from Mumbai

The railway waiting list is constantly monitored as additional special trains will be required. Earlier, on April 13, 23 trains left from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. Of these, 17 trains were to go towards the north and east. 5 of these were the Summer Special train.

Special train for Bihar

East Central Railway tweeted and informed about the special train. The tweet said that for the convenience of passengers, continuous operation of additional special trains is going on as per the requirement. In this series, special trains are being operated from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Danapur and Raxaul. The Railways said to ensure compliance of the Kovid protocol during the journey.

Special train for U.P.

North Eastern Railway tweeted that for the convenience of passengers, the 05185/05186 Gorakhpur-Panvel-Gorakhpur Summer Special train will run from Gorakhpur on April 15 and 19. Whereas on 16 and 20 April 2021, it will be run from Panvel.
