Railway Board: The Railway Board has decided to set up food counters on the platform near general seating coaches. Affordable food and packed water will be available at these counters. Food will be supplied from IRCTC cooks.
Indian Railways New Plan: Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the order has been issued by the Railway Board. In the order of the Railways, food counters will be installed on the platform in front of the general coaches. The food will be divided into two categories. The first type of food will be available for Rs.20. Which will include seven puris, dry potatoes and pickles. Similarly, the cost of type 2 food will be Rs.50. It will include rice, rajma, chole, khichdi, kulche, bhature, pav-bhaji and masala dosa.
Cheap and clean food will be available
This step is being praised everywhere. With this, cheap and hygienic food will be available to the passengers traveling in general coaches. The Railway Board has decided to install food counters on the platform near the general seating coaches. Affordable food and packed water will be available at these counters. Food will be supplied from IRCTC cooks. The location of the counter will be decided by the Railway Zone.
No need to go to the platform
This is said to be a good move as it will provide affordable and clean food to the passengers traveling in general sitting coaches. With this, they will not have to go to the platform to buy food and drink in the train. Railways will be able to get revenue from this. The revenue from the counters will help in meeting the expenses of the Railways. Railways has started food and drinking water counters on platforms. This facility has been started on an experimental basis for six months.
So far, this facility has been implemented at 51 stations. Officials said that drinking water glasses of 200 ml would be made available at these counters. Officials said that this facility has been started for the convenience of the passengers, especially in those coaches which are often overcrowded. This is a good step as it will provide cheap and clean food and drinking water to the passengers. With this, they will not have to go to the platform to buy food and drink in the train.
