New Delhi: Indian Railways has taken a big decision regarding general or non-reserved tickets. Railways has increased the range of general ticket booking through UTS mobile app to 20 kms. Till now, passengers could book tickets only within a radius of about five kilometers from the railway station.
It was informed by the Railways that the limit of 5 kilometers on the UTS mobile app on non-suburban sections has been abolished. Now passengers can book tickets without reservation within a radius of 20 km from the railway station. Along with this, it was told that the limit of two to five kilometers on the suburban section has now been increased to 10 kilometers.
This decision of the Railways will provide relief to those passengers who travel on general tickets. Due to this, it is also being seen as a decision to reduce the crowd at the ticket counter.
