Apart from this, the railways have also shared information for confirmed and RAC ticket holders.
Railways says, “Indian Railways is operating its passenger trains as usual. Keeping in view the situation of the epidemic, passengers are requested to avoid any kind of rumors and come to the railway station only if they have a confirmed or RAC ticket. All rules of social distance must be followed. ‘
Many trains have been canceled
In view of the increasing burden on hospitals, the Indian Railways has started using train coaches in Delhi as isolation and covid centers. In view of the fast spreading corona infection, the railways had decided to cancel some trains running on April 19 and 20. The list of canceled trains includes trains going to Surat, Jamnagar, Bhopal, Vadodara, Veraval and Dahod.

At the same time, Western Railway has also decided to run some special trains. These will run trains from Bandra Terminus to Gorakhpur, Mumbai Central- Manduadih-Dadar, Bandra Terminus to Bhagat’s Kothi and Ahmedabad-Danapur. Ticket booking for these trains will start from April 20 and 21.
Railways said on Monday that it has banned the sale of platform tickets with immediate effect at all major railway stations in Delhi in view of the sharp increase in Kovid-19 cases. In this, the sale of platform tickets at major railway stations of New Delhi, Old Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Anand Vihar etc. has been stopped. In view of the sharp increase in Kovid-19 cases, Delhi Division of Northern Railway has decided to ban the sale of platform tickets till further orders with immediate effect, so as to control the entry of passengers in platforms and station premises.
