Indian Railways, IRCTC: Indian Railways has given great relief to those traveling by local trains in Mumbai. It has been decided to operate 204 additional Mumbai local trains from 29 January 2021. With this decision, now a total of 95 percent of the local trains called Mumbai’s lifeline will run on the tracks.
However, only people associated with essential services will be able to travel in these local trains. In such a situation, the railway has appealed to the people not to go to the stations to travel in these trains. With the increase in the number of trains, it is hoped that other people will also be able to travel in it soon.
Railways has informed that from Friday, a total of 204 more trains will be operating on Central Railway (CR) and Western Railway (WR). In this way, a total of 2,985 suburban services will be provided to passengers every day. Currently, a total of 2,781 services run on the Mumbai suburban network, including 1,201 on WR and 1,580 on CR.
At the same time, the railway has again cleared the running of the first corporate train ‘Tejas Express’ from February 14. Railway has informed that Tejas Express will run again between Lucknow-New Delhi and Ahmedabad-Mumbai.
