Indian Railways made new rule for kite flyers, now six months jail and fine will be imposed

Indian Railways: Those who fly kites on Makar Sankranti should be careful. One mistake of yours can land you in jail. That means you may have to face six months in jail or pay a fine of up to Rs 1000. Know this rule of railways-

Indian Railways Rules: Many people must have made preparations for kite flying on Makar Sankranti. Some people must have bought kites and manjha while some will bring them today. People must have also decided the places for kite flying, so that the kites can be fought in a better way. People who are fond of kite flying must pay attention to one thing. Otherwise, the fun of Makar Sankranti can be spoilt. That is, you may have to face six months of jail or a fine of up to Rs 1000.

Kite flying is also done by people on the festival in many parts of the country. Every year, many people become victims of accidents due to kite flying near the railway track. Apart from this, the operation of trains is also disrupted in those areas where trains are being operated on electric.

According to DRM Deepak Kumar Sinha of Jhansi Division, there is a flow of 25 thousand volts of electric current in the electric wires passing above the railway track. If these wires come in contact with the kite string, a strong electric current can occur. Especially the metal thread can cause a rapid electric shock, which can be fatal. Also, while flying kites on the railway track, you can also be a victim of an accident due to fast moving trains passing by. Due to this, the railway administration has appealed to the general public to stay away from the railway tracks and railway premises while flying kites.

Punishment under this Railway Act

Crossing the railway track from unauthorized places is also a punishable offense according to Section 147 of the Railway Act 1989, for which you can be punished with a fine of up to Rs 1000 or 6 months imprisonment or both. The same section can be applied if you fly kites from the track and you may have to go to jail.
