Indian Railways Rules: Railways provides the facility that if you miss your train and you are unable to travel, then in such a situation you can get your ticket money back. For this, first of all the ticket deposit receipt will have to be filled. It is also called TDR.
In these circumstances, today we are telling you easy ways for passengers to get their ticket money back from the Railways.
Railways allows connecting passengers to link PNR for connecting trains, making it easier to get refunds.
For refund you will have to file TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt-TDR).
Passengers can file TDR within one hour of departure of the train from the charting station. Remember, you cannot ask for a refund after 1 hour has passed.
Railways provides the facility of filing TDR to the passengers online and offline.
To fill TDR online, the passenger will have to go to RCTC site. Then do the booked ticket history. Select the booked tickets and date of travel.
Then select PNR- Click on File TDR button. Select the name of the passenger from the ticket details. Select the reason for missing the train from the list box or type it yourself and click on the Submit button.
Full refund of your ticket will be returned within 45 days of filling TDR offline or online.
