Indian Railways Rules: This rule of buying tickets for general coach has changed, know today itself

UTS Mobile App Rules: Indian Railways has changed the rules of general train tickets, giving great relief to lakhs of passengers traveling in general coaches of the country.

UTS Mobile App Rules: Every day lakhs of people travel by general coach of Indian Railways. In such a situation, giving great relief to them, Railways has made a big change in the rules of UTS on mobile app. For this, Railways has removed the restriction of outer limit geo-facing distance for the UTS app with immediate effect. This means that now you can buy general tickets and platform tickets even sitting at home. Earlier, passengers could book tickets on UTS Mobile App only within the limit of 20 km. This limit has now been removed.

Ticket booking rules changed

Railway Ministry relaxed distance restrictions for booking unreserved tickets through UTS On Mobile App. Earlier, general tickets on UTS on mobile app for non-suburban sections could travel only up to 20 km. Whereas for platform tickets this limit was 5 km. Railways has removed this limit to promote more and more paperless ticket booking.

However, Railways has maintained the internal limit required for booking general tickets. Which means that people can still book general tickets and platform tickets only 5 meters outside the station limits.

What is UTS App?

The full form of UTS App is Unreserved ticketing system app. It provides the facility of easily booking tickets from home. With its help, you can book unreserved tickets from your phone itself. Apart from this, if there is a long line at the ticket counter, then you can also buy platform tickets from this app. This app is available on Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.

  • First of all download UTS App from play store.
  • After this install the app in your phone.
  • After installation you will have to enter your personal details.
  • After this, register the UTS mobile app with your number.
  • After this you will have to add some money in the wallet of UTS App.
  • After this, select the station you want to reach.
  • After selection you will see the option of get fare.
  • Select it and make payment.
  • After this you will see the ticket in this app.
