Crowds have started increasing in railway stations and trains during festivals. At the same time, Railways has started planning and taking action to control the crowd. For this, about 200 teams have been formed across the country. Railway Board Executive Director Passenger Marketing Neeraj Sharma has issued instructions to all zonal general managers and divisional railway managers. They have said that they will run special checking campaigns in their respective sections and will tighten the noose against passengers traveling in trains without tickets or against rules.
During this time, an eye should also be kept on such passengers who are found traveling in trains under railway pass or railway quota. Every information will be collected from them as to from whom and why they have taken this quota of Railways, whether they have any relatives in the Railways or whether they have got the ticket confirmed after a request from an acquaintance. This action has been started by Railways from 20th October which will continue till 27th November. A report will have to be prepared and submitted to the Railway Headquarters by December 4, so that the report can be assessed.
