To support the vaccination campaign in India, Indigo airline has introduced a special discount offer.
The company has started a special discount on IndiGo flights for people who have got the vaccine. IndiGo is the first airline to offer such a discount offer. According to IndiGo, customers who have taken one or both doses of the Kovid-19 vaccine can avail a discount of up to 10 percent on the fare at the time of booking. Know more how to apply.
Who can take the discount
To avail the discount on flight tickets, passengers will need their COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. They can avail the discount by showing their vaccine status on the Aarogya Setu mobile app at the airport check-in counter. Otherwise, you will not get the benefit of the discount.
What is the offer
IndiGo’s offer name is Waxy Fair. The Vaxi Fare is a discounted fare applicable only to those passengers who have got the vaccine at the time of booking and are residing in India. This offer is for those 18 years of age and above. Discount is valid only on IndiGo website. This discount offer on IndiGo’s side was announced two days after the central government launched the ‘Free Vaccine for All’ campaign for every citizen in June.

How to get discount
To book your flight tickets, visit the official website of IndiGo. Select the Vaxi Fare option while entering your arrival and departure destination. Select your vaccine status (1st dose, 2nd dose, no vaccination) option. You need to note that you will be asked for your Beneficiary Reference ID. Select the flight you want and enter the Beneficiary ID details. After this your booking will be completed.
Indigo new flights
IndiGo has declared Gwalior as its 70th home destination. The airline will operate ATR aircraft for direct flights from Gwalior to Delhi and Indore from September 1. The direct link with Gwalior will also strengthen the city’s overall air access across India through the ‘6E network’, the airline said in a statement. From September 1, IndiGo will start daily flights connecting Gwalior to Madhya Pradesh and Delhi (Delhi-Gwalior and Indore-Gwalior routes). In the same month, IndiGo also launched flights from Bareilly, the 68th domestic destination on the 6E network. IndiGo on Thursday said it will launch eight new domestic flights connecting cities including Dehradun, Indore and Lucknow during the first week of September.
