There is good news for Vodafone Idea (Vi) subscribers traveling abroad. In case of recharging from select international plans of the company, customers are being given coverage on their bags and will get compensation in case of bag loss or delay in flight.
While checking in your baggage in long haul flights, there is concern about their safety and if you remain worried till you get your bag back, then there is good news for you. Vodafone Idea (Vi), the country’s third largest telecom operator, has announced special International Roaming (IR) postpaid plans, which will provide baggage cover on recharge.
The company has clarified that subscribers recharging with these international plans will be given coverage in case their luggage is lost or delayed in international flights. To provide the benefit of this service, Vi has partnered with American lost baggage concierge company Blue Ribbon Bags. In this way, Vodafone Idea subscribers will get a chance to travel abroad without any worries.
Special offer has come for limited time
Vodafone Idea (Vi) is giving the benefit of special offer only to those subscribers who are taking international flights before April 7. Those recharging from select plans of the company will be given complimentary coverage in case of loss or delay of travel bag. In such a situation, subscribers will be given an amount of Rs 19,800 for each bag as compensation.
The company says that such subscribers will be compensated within the next 96 hours after filing the complaint. This offer was started by the company on February 26, 2024 and its benefit will be given to those who recharge till March 21, 2024.
Vi users will have to recharge with these plans
This benefit will not be available in case of recharging from all international plans. This exclusive offer is applicable on recharges from Rs 3,999 plan with 10 days validity, Rs 4,999 plan with 14 days validity and Rs 5,999 plan with 30 days validity. Users must register with Blue Ribbon Bags before taking the flight. Compensation amount will be given in case the luggage is lost during the flight or the bag is not found within 4 days.
