Apple announced the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro series at a virtual launch event on Tuesday. As was evident after several leaks and rumours, just like last year’s iPhone 12 lineup, four models of the iPhone 13 – iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max – have been launched.
All four have a similar screen size and almost identical design as compared to the previous model. However, the cameras of the new iPhone have been greatly improved and the battery life has also been increased as well. The company has also added a new Cinematic video recording mode, which is a great feature for videography. All four new iPhones are powered by the all-new A15 Bionic chipset and come with iOS 15.

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be available with up to 1TB of storage. The 128GB storage variant of the iPhone 13 Pro costs Rs 1,19,900, the 256GB storage variant costs Rs 1,29,900, the 512GB storage variant costs Rs 1,49,900 and the 1TB storage variant costs Rs 1,69,900. All the models of iPhone 13 Pro Max are priced at Rs 1,29,900, Rs 1,39,900, Rs 1,59,900 and Rs 1,79,900 respectively.
Their sale in India will start from September 17 and will be available in retail stores from September 24.

All four new iPhone models come equipped with Apple’s new A15 Bionic chipset. The company claims that this chipset gives up to 50 percent better performance than the leading competitors. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini have the A15 Bionic with a four-core GPU, while the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have a five-core GPU.
Apple has promised that the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 Pro will get 1.5 hours more battery backup than the previous models, while the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max will get 2.5 hours more battery backup. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini are the first non-Pro iPhones to be available with more than 256GB of storage, while the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are the first iPhones to come with up to 1TB of storage.
All four have the same screen size as the iPhone 12 models, but the notch has been reduced by 20 percent. It also gets sensor-shift optical stabilization with 1.7um sensor pixels and f/1.6 aperture. The company claims that the Night Mode works fast and is capable of capturing sharp shots. The setup also has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, which has an aperture of f / 2.4. It gets a new cinematic video mode, which supports rack focus, which keeps the moving subject in focus and the camera is able to automatically shift focus between the subject and the background.
The iPhone 13 Pro model gets a new 77mm telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom. In addition, there is an ultrawide camera, which can now take macro shots even when 2cm away from a subject. The setup also houses a primary wide camera, which comes with f/1.5 aperture and 1.9um sensor pixels.
The new iPhones feature 5G with custom-designed antenna and radio components to support more bands in more locations.
