In the second leg of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League, the defending champions Mumbai Indians started with a loss. The team lost in the first match against Chennai Super Kings and now they seem to be getting a setback before going against Kolkata Knight Riders. Team’s fast bowler Trent Boult gave information on the injuries of captain Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. He told that the comeback is good but nothing is clear when playing.
Boult said, “Both of them are coming back very well from injury. As far as they are selected for the next match, I can not say for sure what will happen then. But day by day they will We are getting better than before. There is no doubt that both of them are very important players in the playing XI of Mumbai Indians. We all are looking forward to see them both back in the team. That is why we are praying Hope to come back well and do well in the next few matches.
Boult said that his team missed a lot when Rohit was rested against Chennai. By the way, he believed that this decision of the team management was right as the future matches will be important where Rohit’s captaincy and batting will be needed more.
“If we talk about the experience or the number of runs he has scored in this format, then it was a very big decision. Considering how many crickets he plays continuously, then the team management should think that he should be 100 fit. It is good to be fielded only when he is there. If he makes a comeback in the playing XI, it will be a wonderful thing but he wants to make sure that when he is 100 percent fit, then he comes back.”
