Along with this, facilities like insurance on train and railway journeys, waiver of surcharge on purchase of fuel, complimentary entry in railway lounge are available.
Welcome gift
According to the SBI Card website, on purchase of this card, the customer is given a welcome gift of 1500 reward points, whose point is worth Re 1. You can link this card with your IRCTC login ID. The advantage is that you can redeem these reward points whenever you book a ticket by logging into IRCTC website and mobile app (Android only).
Along with this, 2500 reward points are available for spending Rs 50,000 on travel in a financial year, while the number of these reward points increases to 5,000 reward points for spending Rs 1,00,000.
Insurance
On this card, you are given a complimentary insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh in case of a train accident. At the same time, in case of an air accident, this cover becomes Rs 50 lakh.
Get discount on air travel
According to a tweet by IRCTC, you will be given a five percent discount on booking air tickets on the IRCTC app with this credit card. Along with this, a fraud liability cover of Rs 1 lakh is also given.
Railway lounge entry
Complimentary railway lounge access for eight times on this credit card. However, you can avail this benefit only twice in a quarter.
