IRCTC Master list: Under the master list feature, you can pre-fill the details of all your passengers. After this the details will not have to be filled.
IRCTC Master list: Now unlocked in most of the states. People would like to book train tickets for work or travel, but it is not easy to get railway tickets on the busy routes of Indian Railways.
Due to this, Indian Railways has provided the IRCTC Master list feature.
What is Master List:
- Under the master list feature, you can pre-fill the details of all your passengers. After this, whenever you book a ticket, you will not have to fill different details.

- Create IRCTC master list like this:
- For this, first you have to go to the website of IRCTC.
- After this you will be asked to log in, then log in.
- -Then you will see three dots on the right side at the top. Click on these.
- Here you will get many options out of which you have to click on My Account.
- Then go to My Profile. Then you will see the option of Add / Modify Master List. Click on this.
- Here you have to enter passenger details. In this, first of all, the passenger type has to be selected from the options like Normal, Divyaang, Journalist.
- Now in the option that will open, the details of the passenger like name, date of birth, gender, birth, food etc. will have to be entered.
- After filling the details, click on submit. Similarly, you can also make a master list of the rest of the passengers.
How to use IRCTC master list:
Whenever you book a ticket, you will be redirected to the booking screen by clicking on Book Now. Here on the left side you will see My Saved Passenger(s) List written. Click on it.
After this you will see the list of all the members added to your master list on the left side. By clicking on the checkbox you will be able to add members. To add them, you have to click on Select Passengers.
By doing this, you will not have to waste time by filling the details of the passenger separately. In such a situation, you will be able to do the ticket yourself and there will be no need for an agent.
