ITR Filing Last Date: Good News! ITR is done by taking money, why? Do it yourself sitting at home in 5 minutes FILE

ITR Filling Last Date: Actually, the last date for filing Income Tax Return i.e. ITR for the assessment year 2021-22 is very near. According to the Finance Ministry, the last date for filing income tax return for the financial year 2020-21 is 31 December 2021.

ITR Filling Last Date: Actually, the last date for filing Income Tax Return i.e. ITR for the assessment year 2021-22 is very near. According to the Finance Ministry, the last date for filing income tax return for the financial year 2020-21 is 31 December 2021.

Penalty for filing ITR after December 31

If you come under the purview of income tax, then definitely keep this date in mind. Because after filing ITR after December 31, a fine of up to Rs 5000 may have to be paid. However, those whose earnings are less than Rs 5 lakh, they will have to pay only Rs 1000 as fine.

But why pay the late fine, and run after someone to file ITR? Today we tell you the process of ITR filing in a very simple way. This will also save your money and the time will take only 5 minutes. Before filing ITR, keep necessary documents like PAN, Aadhaar card, bank account number, investment details and its proof/certificate, Form 16, Form 26AS with you.

Easy way to file ITR (e-filing portal)

Step-1: First of all open the URL (https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login).

Step-2: After that enter your User ID and then click on Continue, after which enter your password and login. If you do not remember the password, you can create a new password using Forgot Password.

Step-3: After login, a page will open, where you click on e-file (Click on E-file). After that select File Income Tax Return option.

Step-4: After which select the assessment year 2021-22 and then continue. After this you will get the option for Online and Offline. In this you select the online key and select the ‘Personal’ option.

Step-5: Then you choose any one option from ITR-1 (ITR-1) or ITR-4 and continue. If you are salaried then select ITR-1. After that the form will be downloaded on your system. Then go to ‘Filling Type’ and select 139(1)- Original Return.

Step-6: After this the selected form will open in front of you, in which fill all the requested information, and keep saving. Fill in the bank account details correctly.

Step-7: If you select offline mode above, then after filling all the information in the download form, you will see the option of Attach File, where to attach your form.

Step-8: Now a new page will open for filing ITR. Where you can do E-Verification to verify your return. After validating the file in offline process, click on Proceed To Verification. At the same time, verify in the online process and send a hard copy of the return to the Income Tax Department.

In this way you can file your return in just 5 minutes with all the preparations. The process of filing Income Tax Return (ITR) ends with the verification of ITR. It has to be verified within 120 days of its submission. Failure to do so will make your ITR invalid.
