If you are a State Bank of India customer and have an account with the bank, you can verify ITR filing through net banking. For this you have to complete step by step 11 steps. Step 1: Log in to your account on the income tax filing website. After logging in, click on “My Account” from the tab and from the drop down menu, select “e-Verify Return” option.
Step 2: Now you will see the list of ITRs filed on the screen. Here click on “e-Verification” button.
Step 3: Here, from the options, select option 2. A box will appear and here select “EVC – Through Net Banking”.
Step 4: Once you select the net banking option, the steps for e-verification using net banking will be shown. Go through them and then click on the “Continue” button.
Step 5: As soon as you select the bank, another screen will appear and click on “Continue” button here. You will be taken to the State Bank of India login screen.
Step 6: On the SBI login page, enter your username and password. Then click on login button
Step 7: On the dashboard, select “e-tax” and click on “direct tax” from the drop-down menu. Then on the next page, select “Login in e-filing / e-Verification” from the left side.
Step 8: Here on the login page, click on the “Submit” button. In 5-10 seconds, you will receive an OTP on the mobile number registered with the bank. Enter this OTP and click on “Confirm” button.
Step 9: You are now re-directed and logged in to your account on the income tax filing website. Here, select the option “e-Verify Return” under the tab “My Account”.
Step 10: On the next screen, click on “e-Verification”. A screen-blocker will ask for your confirmation for e-verify return, here click on “Continue” button.
