These documents will be required to open a Jan Dhan account: Aadhar Card or Passport or Driving License or PAN Card, Voter Card, MNREGA Job Card, letter issued by authority with name, address and Aadhaar number written on it, letter issued by Gazetted Officer on which account Attested photo of opening is attached.

If you have a Prime Minister Jan Dhan Account, then you can get some relief in this difficult period. Accidental insurance of Rs 2 lakh is given to the account holder along with general insurance of Rs 30,000. Overall, the account holder gets a total benefit of Rs 2.30 lakh in the scheme.
30.9 Crore RuPay Debit Cards Issued
According to the data, 30.9 crore RuPay debit cards have been issued to 42.2 crore Jan Dhan beneficiaries. In this context, 73.22% of the beneficiaries have debit cards.
Through these cards, Jan Dhan account holders can do ATM and online banking.
The Central Government launched this scheme (JanDhan Account) in August 2014. Its purpose is to connect the people of the weaker sections with banking services.
