You can find the balance of your Jan Dhan account in two ways. The first way is through a missed call and the second way is through the PFMS portal. Today we tell you how you can use both these methods-
Via PFMS portal
For this PFMS portal, you must first go to this link https://pfms.nic.in/NewDefaultHome.aspx#. Here you have to click on ‘Know Your Payment’. After this you will have to enter your account number. Here you have to enter account number twice. Captcha code has to be filled in after this. Now the balance of your account will come in front of you.
Via missed call
If you have a Jan Dhan account with the State Bank of India, then you can find out the balance through a missed call. For this, you have to give a missed call to the number 18004253800 or 1800112211. Keep in mind that customers make a missed call on this from their registered mobile number.
If a new account is to be opened
If you want to open your Jan Dhan account then you have to go to your nearest bank. Here, you have to fill the Jan Dhan account form. You will have to fill all your details in it. The applying customer has to provide his name, mobile number, bank branch name, applicant’s address, nominee, business / employment and annual income and dependents number, SSA code or ward number, village code or town code etc.

According to the PMJDY website, you can open a Jan Dhan account through documents like passport, driving license, PAN card number, Voter ID card issued by Election Commission, MNREGA job cord signed by a state government official.
