JEE, NEET Free Coaching Scheme: In the Delhi government’s ‘Mukhyamantri Pratibhasik Vidyarthi Coaching Yojana’, 100 seats will be increased for girls from the next session. Education Minister Atishi made this announcement on Wednesday so that girls can get more opportunities to move forward. These will be additional seats. With this scheme, students of government schools in Delhi are being given coaching to get admission in engineering and medical institutes. Currently, 300 students from class 9 to class 11 are getting the benefit of the scheme. From the next session, 400 students will get this benefit.

What is the Mukhyamantri Pratibhasik Vidyarthi Yojana?

Through the Mukhyamantri Pratibhasik Vidyarthi Coaching Yojana, students of government schools get coaching for engineering – JEE and NEET preparation to get a medical seat. For the scheme, every year 300 students of class 9 and 11 are selected for free coaching of JEE and NEET in top coaching institutes.

Education Minister Atishi interacted with the students getting coaching in top coaching centers through this scheme and learned about their experiences. Atishi said that ‘children studying in government schools should work hard to fulfill their dreams. The government will not let lack of money come in the way of their dreams. CM Arvind Kejriwal’s vision is that every child of a rich or poor family should grow and fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor or engineer. That is why this scheme was started.’

During this conversation, the students said that due to this coaching, now there is no tension of expensive coaching fees for preparing for medical-engineering. They are able to focus fully on their studies. Atishi said that the children enrolled in this scheme are role models for lakhs of children studying in Delhi government schools. We have fulfilled our responsibility, now it is the turn of the students. They should fulfill their dreams and show the world that the children studying in government schools are no less than anyone.

What do the children who took advantage of the scheme say?
