‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ made Joshi one of the highest paid TV actors in India. As per several reports, the 53-year-old actor is getting around Rs 1.5 lakh per episode for playing the role of Jethalal in the show. In normal times, actors shoot for 25 days in a month. Hence, rumors about his lifestyle keep floating from time to time.

While Joshi is said to have bought a lavish bungalow in 2018, such headlines can easily be believed considering the huge salary he receives from the makers of the show. However, Joshi put an end to the rumours, saying that he too wants to see this bungalow, which is being said to be worth crores.

But the actor admitted that even his friends had started believing media reports about him having bought a big bungalow with a swimming pool. Joshi then jokingly told his friends that he too wanted to see the splendor of the bungalow, and later clarified that there was no truth to these rumours.

Joshi is the exact opposite of Jethalal, his character in TMKOC, and prefers to keep his life private. The actor has recently become active on Instagram. The 53-year-old put out his first post on the social media network in July 2020, and updated his fans only once. Smiling in his last post, Joshi has a piece of cake in his right hand. The actor celebrated his birthday on May 26 and expressed his gratitude to his followers through the post. Joshi also expressed hope that the pandemic would end soon.
