Along with this, the company has also halved the installation charges for the six-month plan, that is, now instead of Rs 1,000 you will have to pay only Rs 500. The Rs 599 plan, which is the basic option, comes at a price of Rs 2,121 (inclusive of 18% GST) for a three-month subscription. It offers 30Mbps speed up to 1000GB data. OTT benefits in the plan include Disney+ Hotstar, Sony Liv, ZEE5, JioCinema, Sun NXT, Hoichoi, Discovery+, ALTBalaji, Eros Now, Lionsgate Play, ShemarooMe, DocuBay, EpicOne and ETV Win (via Jio TV+). The Rs 1499 plan is available at a price of Rs 5,307 (including 18% GST) for 3 months. In this plan, high speed of 300Mbps is available up to 1000GB data. A total of 17 OTT subscriptions are available in the plan including Netflix (Basic), Amazon Prime Lite, Disney Plus Hotstar and FanCode (via Jio TV+). Amazon Prime Lite subscription will be available for 2 years. The plan also includes 880+ TV channels.
500Mbps speed plan
The Rs 2499 plan is available for 3 months at a price of Rs 8,847 (includes 18% GST). In this plan, high speed of 500Mbps is available up to 1000GB data. A total of 17 OTT subscriptions are available in this plan including Netflix (Standard), Amazon Prime Lite, Disney Plus Hotstar and FanCode (via Jio TV+). Amazon Prime Lite subscription will be available for 2 years. The plan also includes 880+ TV channels.
1Gbps speed plan
The Rs 3999 plan is available at Rs 14,157 (inclusive of 18% GST) for 3 months. In this plan, high speed of 1 Gbps is available up to 1000GB data. A total of 17 OTT subscriptions are available in this plan including Netflix (Premium), Amazon Prime Lite, Disney Plus Hotstar and FanCode (via Jio TV+). Amazon Prime Lite subscription will be available for 2 years. The plan also includes 880+ TV channels.
Company reduced installation charges
With the introduction of these quarterly plans, Reliance Jio has revised its installation pricing structure. New customers opting for the quarterly AirFiber plan will have to pay an installation charge of Rs 1,000. Whereas, this fee has been reduced to Rs 500 for customers choosing the 6 month option and it has been completely waived off for customers choosing the 12 month (annual) plan.
However, one significant drawback is the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit of 1000GB. For users who stream content, this limit is likely to be sufficient and they quickly reach the limit each month. Once the limit is exceeded, users will have to purchase a separate data add-on pack to maintain high-speed internet speed, which may deter some customers from choosing Jio AirFiber.
