Jio Plan: Now you will not get the same benefits in these two prepaid plans as before

Jio has changed the validity of its two popular data add-on plans. These plans are Rs 69 and Rs 139. Apart from this, Jio has also updated its Rs 448 prepaid plan and recently re-introduced the Rs 189 plan. Let us know what will be available in these prepaid plans of Rs 69 and Rs 139.

Reliance Jio has revised the validity of its two popular data add-on plans – Rs 69 and Rs 139 packs. The telecom company has also introduced standalone validity for these plans, a change from their earlier structure. Earlier they used to share the same validity as the user’s base plan. Just a few days ago, Jio also updated its Rs 448 plan and re-introduced the Rs 189 pack. Let’s know the details.

Reliance Jio changes Rs 69 and Rs 139 prepaid recharge plans

Earlier, the Rs 69 and Rs 139 data add-on packs used to run till the active base recharge on the user’s account. For example, if a base pack had a validity of 30 days, the add-on used to remain active for the same period.

However, after the new revision, both Jio prepaid plans now come with a standalone validity of just 7 days. This means that users will only have a week to consume the data offered under these plans, unlike the previous longer validity associated with the base pack.

Talking about data benefits, the Rs 69 plan offers 6GB of high-speed data, while the Rs 139 plan offers 12GB. Once the entire data is consumed, the internet speed will drop to 64Kbps. It is important to note that these are data-only plans. This means that the plans do not offer benefits like voice calls or SMS. Also, the add-ons will work only if the user has an active base plan on his number.

Let us tell you that last year, Jio and other private telecom companies had increased the prices of their recharge plans. Now reducing the validity of the plans is a shock for the customers.

Reliance Jio’s Rs 189 prepaid recharge plan

Apart from these revisions, Reliance Jio has re-launched its Rs 189 prepaid plan some time back. It was removed from the offering for some time. This plan is listed under the ‘Affordable Packs’ section and is for users who want basic connectivity.

It offers a validity of 28 days. Also, a total of 2GB data (speed is reduced to 64Kbps after the data limit is completed), unlimited voice calls and 300 SMS are also given in this plan. This prepaid recharge plan also gives access to Jio’s services like JioTV, JioCinema (excluding premium content) and JioCloud storage.

Reliance Jio’s Rs 448 prepaid plan

Jio has also reduced the price of its Rs 448 prepaid recharge plan to Rs 445. This plan offers 28 days validity, 2GB daily data, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day. Apart from this, subscribers can access different OTT platforms, including Zee5, JioCinema Premium, SonyLIV and Lionsgate Play.
