Jio won the race, started VoNR network, SIM holders had fun

Reliance Jio has deployed VoNR (Voice over New Radio) technology for its 5G customers, which promises higher quality and clarity in 5G network calling. Currently, Jio is the only one providing this service while Airtel and Vodafone Idea are yet to launch this service.

Reliance Jio has confirmed the deployment of VoNR (Voice over New Radio) technology for its 5G customers. VoNR is a calling technology. Currently, Reliance Jio is the only telecom operator that is offering 5G VoNR service. Airtel has not yet deployed 5G SA (Standalone) and is unlikely to offer it to its mobile customers until 2025. So, if you are looking for VoNR calling service, Jio is the only one providing it at the moment.

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is the calling technology associated with 4G networks, while VoNR is the technology of 5G networks. Through VoNR you get a better call experience, higher quality and clarity, as it is based on the higher data capacity of 5G. In contrast, VoLTE runs on 4G.

Work on VoNR continues

Since Vodafone Idea is also planning to deploy 5G NSA (Non-Standalone) like Airtel, Vodafone Idea will also not be able to provide VoNR service to its customers. VoNR is already working for customers in Delhi and Mumbai and may possibly be available in other parts of the country as well. Currently, Jio’s 5G SA services are being offered for free to customers who recharge with 2GB per day data plan or more.

Jio-Airtel are preparing

Jio and Airtel are also working on satellite network. Underwater network is also being strengthened by Jio. In such a situation, such decisions are taken for better calling and data experience to the users. This proves to be very beneficial for many users. This is the reason why the company is continuously working on this network.
