Reliance Jio recently made prepaid plans expensive. Now it has introduced a new prepaid plan that comes with SMS benefits.
Reliance Jio revised its prepaid plans earlier this month. Now the plans have become expensive than before. However, its price is slightly lower than Airtel and Vi. Now Jio has launched its affordable plan with SMS benefits.
Jio’s Rs 119 prepaid plan
Daily 1.5GB data is given in Jio’s Rs 119 prepaid plan. Apart from this, unlimited voice calls are given in this plan with 300 SMS to any network. The validity of this plan is only 14 days.
This prepaid plan of Jio also gives access to Jio suite of apps such as Jio Cinema, Jio TV, Jio Security and Jio Cloud. After 1.5GB daily data is exhausted, the speed drops to 64kbps. This makes this plan quite affordable with SMS benefits and 21GB total data.
With this plan, it will be easy for customers to port to any other network as SMS benefit is also given in it. The cheapest plan of Airtel which comes with SMS benefit is priced at Rs 128.
However, this is not an unlimited plan. Users have to pay from the main balance for voice calling and SMS. Vi offers SMS benefits with the Rs 179 prepaid plan. This pack has come at a time when TRAI has ordered the telecom networks to give SMS benefit to the user for porting to any network.
Even if users have not subscribed to the prepaid plan with SMS benefit, TRAI has asked them to give the facility of sending SMS to 1900.
