Today is the birthday of Kangana Ranaut, known as the Queen of Bollywood. Kangana was born on 23 March 1987 in Himachal Pradesh. Kangana is not only one of the most successful actresses of Bollywood today due to her talent but also one of the highest paid actresses for her one film. Kangana has received the Padma Shri as well as the National Award four times. She is also known for her outspokenness.
Before entering the acting world, Kangana used to do modeling. Kangana, who started her film journey at the age of 17, did more than one challenging role, but there was a time when Kangana had even reached the adult industry in search of films. Kangana herself had told this during an interview that how she had already signed an adult film before becoming a part of the film industry.
Kangana had told, ‘I had to do a photoshoot, I was in my teens when I was offered this role. I knew it was wrong but then I decided okay, I will do it. But later that photoshoot looked like a pornographic film to me and I thought it was not the right thing to do as it was really an adult film. However, later somehow I left from there.
Anurag Basu gave Kangana a chance for the first time. Kangana also gave many auditions for Gangster. Waited months. And finally after getting the film, Kangana’s career got a new direction. In 2005, director Anurag Basu saw Kangana having coffee in a cafe and offered the film Gangster. Kangana was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress for the film Gangster.
Today, due to her talent, Kangana is not only one of the most successful actresses of Bollywood but also the most popular. For Kangana, the journey from ‘Gangster’ to ‘Manikarnika’ was very challenging but she did not give up at any point of the struggle and that is why today she is on the heights of success.
