The Kapoor family is the largest family in the film industry. Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor have brought a lot of light to the name of this family. Although you must know everything about these two, but not a single thing that both these actresses are half Christian.
New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor had recently got corona and the actress was isolated along with her two sons. But now the corona report of the actress has come negative and as soon as the report came negative, Kareena reached her maternal home to celebrate Christmas. But why Christmas is so important to Kareena, the reason behind it is the ancestors of the actress.
Christmas is celebrated every year
A Christmas party was held in the Kapoor family on 25 December. Almost all the members of the Kapoor family were involved in this party. This party is given every year and Kareena and Karishma definitely register their presence in this party. The reason behind this is not only to celebrate Christmas but also to follow the tradition of the family.
Karina Karisma’s maternal grandmother was Christian
You might not know but Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor are half Christian. You must be surprised to know this but it is true. Actually, Kareena and Karisma’s mother i.e. Babita Kapoor’s father married a British Christian. Kareena’s maternal grandmother’s name was Barbara Shivdasani. Babita’s father Hari Shivdasani was a Sindhi Hindu from Karachi but after independence she had to leave Pakistan and shift to Mumbai. She later settled down her house by marrying Barbara and became the father of two daughters – Babita and Meena. While Babita settled her house with the Kapoor family’s Chirag Randhir Kapoor, Meena got married with a businessman.
Barbara is remembered by the family
These relationships show that Kareena and Karisma’s maternal grandmother was a Christian and that is why the Christmas festival is celebrated with great pomp in their house. It is because of these relationships that Karisma and Kareena, despite being part of a Punjabi family, definitely follow many customs of Christian religion so that they can feel their grandmother in the same way.
