Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Sunday in view of intensifying vaccination campaign amid the second wave of corona virus . Kejriwal has demanded a dose of 60 lakh vaccines for Delhi every month between the months of May to July.
In a letter to Harsh Vardhan, the Delhi CM has said that you should direct the vaccine supply for Delhi to Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute of India (SII). At the same time, for the vaccination, the states have also asked for the exemption to create a separate mobile app. It is known that from May 1, the third phase of vaccination campaign is going on in the country, in which people between 18 years and 44 years are being vaccinated. However, vaccine deficiency is also being seen during this period, due to which more people are not able to get vaccinated.
In a letter to Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Arvind Kejriwal has thanked the Ministry of Health for the help on the Kovid vaccination. He has said that the central government should provide the vaccine to the states as per the requirement. Central, state and private hospitals – the price of a single vaccine should be fixed for all three. The letter further states, “The Delhi government has made considerable progress in the first two phase vaccination campaign.” As of May 8, we have applied 38.97 lakh doses, of which 30.35 lakh is the first dose and the rest is the second dose. Vaccination campaign was started in Delhi from May 3 for people aged 18-35. We have placed an order for the purchase of the vaccine from Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute, while we are in talks with Dr. Reddy for the Sputnik vaccine. We have also applied 2.99 lakh doses to the 18-45 age group. ”
The government wants to get everyone vaccinated in three months.
The Chief Minister of Delhi has told Dr. Harsh Vardhan in the letter that since the third wave of Kovid is also expected soon, due to this, the Delhi government will give vaccination to all people in three months. Wants to apply The number of people over the age of 45 in Delhi is 57 lakhs. They will need 1.14 crore doses, out of which we have got 43 lakh doses. 71 lakh vaccines are needed more. Along with this, stating the number of people aged 18-45 to be 92 lakhs, Kejriwal said, “I request you to make available to India Biotech and Serum doses of 60 lakhs vaccine every month between May and July to Delhi. Let us direct. ”He further said that at present lakhs of people are being vaccinated every day in Delhi. In the coming days, we are increasing it to three lakhs per day.

‘It was a crime to export vaccines while people were dying’.
On the other hand, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday targeted the central government for exporting vaccines, saying that if people were first vaccinated in their country A large number of lives could be saved. Sisodia alleged in the online press conference, “When people were dying in our own country, the Center only sold vaccines to other countries for its image management, which is a heinous crime committed by the central government.” Citing a newspaper report, he said that the Center sold Corona virus vaccines to 93 countries, of which 60 per cent were under infection control and there was no risk of life due to the virus. The Deputy Chief Minister said that a large number of youth died in the second wave of Corona virus infection.
