What is PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana?
This scheme was started by the central government in 2019. PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana is also known as Kisan Pension Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana, all small and marginal farmers of the country are given pension by the government to lead a proper life in old age. Under this, small and marginal farmers of the country are given financial assistance of Rs 3000 every month as soon as they complete 60 years of age.

Beneficiaries applying under PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana will also have to pay premium every month. Beneficiaries who have attained the age of 18 years will have to pay a premium of Rs 55 per month. On the other hand, beneficiaries who have attained the age of 40 years will have to pay a premium of Rs 200.

The benefit of PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana will also be given to those beneficiaries who have two hectares or less agricultural land. Under this scheme, if the beneficiary dies due to any reason, then 1500 rupees will be given every month to the wife of the beneficiary.
