Kota Corona News: Family claims – 3 patients died due to lack of oxygen, medical college denied

There was a shortage of oxygen in the Kovid Center located in the Medical College on Monday night a day ago. During this time, the patients running on oxygen support started to suffer like fishes. The relatives of the patients admitted in the Kovid ward have alleged that three-four patients died due to lack of oxygen, but the principal of the Medical College, Dr. Vijay Sardana has not confirmed the death of the patients due to lack of oxygen.

According to oxygen sources, which remained closed for about two-and-a-half hours , there was a fierce uproar in the Kovid Hospital of the Medical College late on Monday night due to the fierceness of oxygen. It is being told that three to four patients succumbed to lack of oxygen in the 4-A (SSB) of the super specialty block here late Monday. The relatives of the patients admitted in the ward said that the supply of oxygen had suddenly stopped at 1 o’clock in the night. She went on smooth after three and a half hours.

Family members of patients made serious allegations

Morad resident Farid Mohammed alleged that oxygen was stopped late in the night. This stirred up the entire ward. Immediately oxygen supply was started, but by then three to four patients had died. According to Farid, his relative Asif Hussain also succumbed due to lack of oxygen cylinders. At the same time, Vimal, a Baran resident, said that his wife was admitted to the hospital last Monday. He was undergoing treatment in A ward in the fourth floor of SSB. Oxygen support was due to shortness of breath. This Monday, oxygen supply stopped at around 1 pm. The sound of shouting of patients started coming in the ward. There were more than 25 patients in the ward. Complained to the doctor and nursing staff about oxygen shutdown. He said that the arrangement would take time and said that do a little pumping of the patient. The supply of oxygen started at around 3:30 pm. By the time three to four patients had lost their breath.

Due to sudden increase in load, the oxygen plant also began to occupy

some hospitalized patients and the Timardars complained that the supply of oxygen in the ward is not reaching with the pressure. Due to this, many times the patient’s condition starts deteriorating. In Kota, 683 patients have been admitted in Kovid-Hospital. Out of these, 523 patients are in need of oxygen cylinders.

Oxygen cylinder train claims to come every 15 minutes


The oxygen plant incharge of Kovid-1 hospital said that more patients are admitted in the hospital. More than 500 patients are on oxygen. In such a situation, there is a lot of difficulty in maintaining the pressure of oxygen. An oxygen cylinder train is coming every 15 minutes. Sometimes it takes time to get to the train. Cylinder is being replaced in the plant in 20 to 40 minutes. Due to this, the pressure of oxygen is definitely down for a short time. This causes the patient to lack oxygen.
