Aligarh: A case has been revealed in Aligarh, which will shake everyone’s mind, because it is related to the health of all of us. Here, a team of Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) raided a flour mill and found that stone powder was being mixed in that flour. The team recovered more than 400 kg of stone powder from here. It was allegedly being mixed in the flour packets.
Assistant Commissioner of FSDA, Ajay Jaiswal said, “A flour mill selling flour under the Panchvati Atta brand name in the industrial area of Aligarh was raided after information was received by senior district officials. We recovered more than 400 kg of stone powder called alabaster from the premises.” The officer said that the raid was conducted on Thursday. He said that stone powder was being mixed in the flour bags in the mill.
Jaiswal said, “During the raid, the mill workers were caught mixing powder in the flour bags. We are working to ensure further action against the owner of this factory.” He said that a campaign is being run to recall the entire stock of the flour brand from the market.
