Today we are going to tell you about Jeevan Pramaan portal, through which pensioners can easily submit their Jeevan Pramaan without going to banks.
Life Certificate: The month of November is going on and the pensioners are busy in submitting their life certificates in the banks. For those pensioners who are unable to submit their life certificates in the banks, the Central and State Governments have given many easy options. More than one crore families in India can be kept as pensioner families. There are about fifty lakh pensioners of the Central Government and the same number of pensioners of the states and other government agencies.
Today we are going to tell you about Jeevan Pramaan portal, through which pensioners can easily submit their Jeevan Pramaan without going to banks. According to Jeevan Praman portal, 25.27 lakh life certificates have been submitted through this platform since November 1.
Some important things
1- First of all pensioners have to download Jeevan Pramaan app from the portal. Apart from this, a pensioner will have to submit his fingerprints using the tools required by UIDAI.
2- OTG cable can be used to connect the fingerprint reader to the smartphone. There is a list of UIDAI-mandated devices on the Jeevan Pramaan website.
Who can take advantage of it?
Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled digital services for pensioners. Pensioners of Central Government, State Government or any other government organization can avail this facility.
Start the process like this
Step 1: First of all the Android user has to download the Jeevan Pramaan app from Play Store. After downloading, pensioners have to provide Aadhaar number, PPO number, bank account, bank name, mobile number.
Step 2: You will receive OTP. Enter OTP. Enter name and email ID in the new screen and click on ‘Scan Finger’. Scan the fingerprint on the fingerprint scanner or scan the iris on the iris scanner connected to the PC/mobile/tab.
Step 3: Once the fingerprint/iris is authenticated, the message ‘Device Registration’ will appear on the system screen as shown in the screen below. Click OK.
Step 4: After this authentication and certificate will be generated. Enter Aadhaar and mobile number.
Step 5: Enter OTP and click OK
Step 6: On the next screen given below, enter the required information like pensioner’s name, PPO number, type of pension, name of sanctioning authority, disbursing agency, email and bank account number etc. After this select Remarried options, Re-Employed Options.
Step 7: Then click on the ‘Scan Finger’ button and this will start the finger/iris scanning process.
When the fingerprint, iris authentication is successful, the pensioner’s life certificate will be visible and an SMS acknowledgment will be issued to the pensioner’s mobile phone. This SMS contains the Jeevan Pramaan Certificate ID. The certificates or digital life certificates generated are kept in the repository and are available for use by pensioners and pension disbursing agencies at any time and from any place.
How to download certificate
Using the generated Jeevan Pramaan ID or Aadhaar number, pensioners can not only access the DLC at the time of DLC generation but also download a PDF copy of the generated digital certificate from the Jeevan Pramaan website (https://jeevanpramaan.gov). Can also be achieved by doing.
