Submit your life certificate immediately before 30 November 2024 or else your pension benefit may be stopped. Pensioners above 80 years of age can submit life certificate from 1 October to 30 November, while other pensioners can submit life certificate from 1 November 2024 to 30 November.

Till when can life certificate be submitted?

The month of November is very special for pensioners. It is important for pensioners to submit their certificate of being alive by 30 November 2024 so that they continue to get pension without any hindrance. The life certificate submitted by the pensioners is valid for one year. The life certificates submitted by the pensioners last year are valid only till 30 November 2024. In such a situation, to get pension from the month of December, it is necessary that the pensioners submit their life certificate within 9 days i.e. 30 November.

Super senior citizens i.e. people above 80 years of age have the facility to submit life certificate from October 1 to November 30, 2024, while senior citizens above 60 years of age can submit life certificate between November 1 to November 30, 2024. This can be done both online and offline.

Disadvantage of not submitting life certificate!

If the senior citizens receiving pension do not submit the life certificate by November 30, 2024, then according to UIDAI’s FAQ, they will stop getting pension from the month of December. According to UIDAI’s FAQ, “After the life certificate is updated in the pension system, pension will be paid along with the outstanding amount on the next date of pension payment. But if the life certificate is not submitted for a period of three years or more, then the pension will be released only after the approval of the competent authority through CPAO as per the due procedure.

Door Step Banking

These days, banks are providing the facility of depositing life certificate through door step banking for the convenience of customers. For this, you can visit the bank’s mobile app or website. Apart from this, booking of door step banking can also be done through the toll free number of the bank. After this, the bank officer comes to the house and takes the life certificate from the pensioner. Many banks provide this facility to senior citizens for free. At the same time, many banks charge customers for this.

Jeevan Pramaan Portal

Pensioners can also submit their life certificate online from home through Jeevan Pramaan Portal. For this, they will need UIDAI identity card. Proof of being alive can be easily submitted on this portal through biometric verification.

Submit Life Certificate through Postman

India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) is also providing its customers the facility of verification of life certificate through postman. This is a facility similar to door step banking, in which the postman comes to the pensioner’s home and collects his/her life certificate.

Submission can be done through Umang App

Jeevan Pramaan Patra can also be submitted from home through Umang App. For this, you will not need to go to the EPFO ​​office. To submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra through Umang App, you must have 12 digit Aadhaar number and registered mobile number.

Jeevan Pramaan Patra can be submitted through PDAs

Pensioners can also submit their Jeevan Pramaan Patra by going to the Pension Disbursing Authority i.e. post office or bank. A form has to be filled in the bank.

Submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra through face authentication

The Department of Pensioners Welfare (DoPPW) is providing the facility to submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra through face authentication. For this, you only have to go to Google Play Store and download ‘Aadhaar Face RD Application’ and go to the app. With the help of the app, you can submit your Jeevan Pramaan Patra.
