This means that liquor vends will remain completely closed in Gautam Buddha Nagar on the dates decided by the district administration. Liquor will not be sold during this period and these orders

Liquor shops will remain closed till 26th April

In Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, shops selling liquor, beer etc. will remain closed from 6 pm on April 24 to 6 pm on April 26. During this period, domestic and foreign liquor shops, model shops, beer shops, cannabis shops, hotel bars, beer bars, restaurant bars and military canteens will remain closed in the district.

Voting is to be held in the district under the second phase

Voting is to be held in the district on April 26 under the second phase of Lok Sabha elections. In view of this, District Magistrate Manish Verma has issued this order. The counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections will take place on June 4. On this day also all liquor, beer, cannabis shops and bars etc. will remain closed in the district.

Administration will take action on violation

Strict action will be taken by the administration against those who do not follow these orders. If caught, a fine will also have to be paid. This order to ban the sale of liquor has been given by the administration following the instructions of the Election Commission.

In view of the elections, the administration is on alert in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Recently, drugs worth Rs 150 crore were recovered in Jewar assembly constituency of the district and 2347.24 liters of liquor and Rs 19.30 lakh cash were recovered in Dadri assembly constituency.
