Where will liquor shops remain closed in Delhi?
Due to the G20 summit, liquor vends will remain closed for three days in New Delhi area (mainly Latians Delhi). There will be a ban on opening of all bars and restaurants during this period. There will be a ban on opening of liquor shops in areas like Connaught Place, Khan Market, Barakhamba. Even in the hotels where G20 representatives will stay, bars and restaurants will remain closed to the general public.
According to media reports, there is no restriction on opening of bars and restaurants in Delhi except New Delhi. Liquor shops will remain open in NCR.
People are buying liquor indiscriminately
On the other hand, after the news of closure of liquor shops, people are buying their stock indiscriminately. Although there is a situation of confusion among the people, that is why they are making their arrangements in advance for three days in a hurry. According to media reports, independent bars will remain open in the New Delhi Police District area as well, but in some reports it is being claimed that they will not be able to serve liquor to the customers.
While there is no instruction regarding the closure of liquor shops in NCR, even after this it is being told in media reports that people are collecting liquor stock in Noida, Gurugram as well.
