New Delhi The new variant of the corona virus found in many states of the country including Delhi, Maharashtra has further increased the concern of the central government.
The government has described the increasing cases of double mutant variants in Maharashtra and Punjab as serious. To prevent the pace of the epidemic, many states have resorted to lockdown, night curfew like this time last year. Apart from this, schools and colleges have also been closed as a precautionary measure. The Maharashtra government has declared a lockdown in two more cities, Nanded and Beed. Meanwhile, in view of the upcoming festivals, the Health Ministry has asked the states to take strict measures at their level. At the same time, more than 53 thousand cases of corona have been found in the last 24 hours in the country and 251 people have lost their lives. In Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat, 80 percent new cases have been registered.
Lockdown in Nanded and Beed
In view of the growing danger, the Maharashtra government, which is suffering the most from the Corona epidemic, has imposed a lockdown in two more districts Nanded and Beed. The lockdown will continue in these districts till April 4. During this time shops of essential goods will be open from 7 am to 12 noon. Along with this, it has been decided to keep markets, schools, gyms, hotels, malls, cinema halls closed. Of the total three percent active cases in the country, most are limited to 9 districts in Maharashtra.
Strict rules on Holi in Gujarat
At the same time, the Gujarat government seems to be cautious about the increasing cases of corona. New guidelines have been issued by the state government regarding Holi. The government, in its order, has said that following the Corona Guidelines, Holika Dahan will be allowed to be celebrated, but there will be a ban on public ceremonies and programs on Holi. Please tell that night curfew has already been imposed in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot till 31 March.
Tripled in 4 days
The number of corona patients has increased threefold in 14 days in Madhya Pradesh. In view of this, the Shivraj government has decided to lockdown in four more cities of the state. Betul, Chhindwara, Khargone and Ratlam will also be locked on Sunday. Earlier, lockdown was implemented in Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur in view of increasing cases of corona. CM Shivraj has said that currently there is no situation of lockdown in the state, but a decision will be taken to take drastic steps in the cabinet meeting. Restrictions can be extended when required.
Concern over new variant in Punjab
The new variants of Corona have started showing their way in Punjab as well. Of the 401 samples sent for examination, 326 have been found to have a UK variant of the corona virus. The concern of Punjab has increased due to the presence of this variant of the virus found in the UK in 81 percent of samples. Night curfew is in place in many cities including Patiala, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab. During this period, Pabandia will remain in force from 9 am to 5 am.
Negative report compulsory in Kumbh
The High Court has issued a new order regarding Kumbh to be held in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The High Court made it mandatory for devotees to bring a negative report of the corona test at Kumbh. Along with this, people coming to Haridwar will have to strictly follow the Kovid Guidelines. It is mandatory for visitors to the fair to have a negative report of 72 hours of RT-PCR test of Kovid. In case of Kovid vaccination, it has to be reported.
