Lockdown in UP: Preparing to increase lockdown in UP even after May 10, order may come today

First, the increasing corona infection in villages after the UP Panchayat elections ( UP Panchayat Chunav 2021 ) and the second reason is the decreasing number of active patients during lockdown. In the last fortnight, 56 thousand active patients have been reduced in the state. Principal Secretary Medical Education Alok Kumar said that on April 24, there were 3,10,783 active cases in UP, which was reduced to 2,54,118 on May 7. In such a situation, the government does not want to take any risk by relaxing the lockdown. According to sources, the government is planning to continue the lockdown even after May 10, the decision of lockdown extension can be taken today or tomorrow.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ( Yogi Adityanath ) is not in a mood to halt industrial activities. Due to this, the government had also challenged the decision of the Allahabad High Court, which imposed lockdown in major cities, in the Supreme Court. After this, on 05 May, the government had ordered the lockdown of the entire state till 10 May morning, however, industrial activities have continued during this period. The lockdown period is coming to an end at 7 am on Monday. In such a situation, the government may soon take a decision to increase the lockdown, because the government also believes that due to the lockdown, the situation in Corona is under control. In the past week, new cases of Corona have declined. On 07 May, 28,076 cases were received in the state, while on 24 April, new cases were 38,055 cases.
