LPG KYC Update Online: Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that LPG Aadhar authentication is actually being done to catch fake customers.
LPG-Aadhaar linking: Biometric identification linked to Aadhaar card is necessary for getting a new gas connection for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Along with this, linking LPG connection with Aadhaar (LPG-Aadhaar linking) is also mandatory to get LPG subsidy. But there is no deadline for Aadhaar authentication (e-KYC) of LPG customers. This information has been given by Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
Actually, Leader of Opposition in Kerala Assembly VD Satishan had written a letter complaining that women and elderly people are facing problems due to this process. In response to which Hardeep Singh Puri told why e-KYC is necessary and how many ways are there for it.
LPG Aadhaar authentication is being done to catch fake customers
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has given important information for consumers taking LPG subsidy. Hardeep Singh Puri said that LPG Aadhaar authentication is actually being done to catch fake customers.
You can get your LPG e-KYC done in three ways:
1. By visiting your oil company’s mobile app
2. By visiting the gas distributor’s office
3. By the gas cylinder delivery person at the time of delivery of the LPG cylinder
The gas delivery person will use the app to get your Aadhaar details and then send you an OTP. You can complete the process by entering this OTP.
So far, Aadhaar authentication of more than 55% PMUY beneficiaries has been done
Let us tell you that recently, Aadhaar verification of more than 35 lakh PMUY beneficiaries has been done successfully in Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra camps. So far, Aadhaar authentication of more than 55% PMUY beneficiaries has been done. However, the subsidy of those whose Aadhaar authentication has not been done has not been stopped.
