LPG gas connection: Gas companies will deploy their personnel to update the e-KYC of consumers at every door. Aadhaar card will verify whether the person in whose name the connection is made is at home or not. Then Aadhaar number, address and mobile number will be updated.
LPG e-KYC Update: Now oil companies have started adopting a strict attitude regarding domestic gas connections. Every company has instructed its distributors to conduct e-KYC of every consumer. This has been done so that domestic and commercial consumers can be identified. Also, the connections of those who have left the district will be disconnected.
Whereas those who have died, the connection will be given in the name of their heirs. Cylinder supply may be stopped for consumers who do not complete e-KYC. There are about 11 lakh consumers of Indane, Bharat Gas and HP Gas in Kanpur. At present the cylinder is available for Rs 818.
Subsidy of Rs 18 is reaching the accounts of general consumers and subsidy of Rs 200 is reaching the accounts of Ujjwala connection holders. Oil companies believe that due to lack of survey for a long time, many consumers were facing problems in getting subsidy. The names of many dead people also could not be removed from the list. The main objective of the companies is to remove bogus consumers from the list. Due to this, about 15 percent consumers may be affected.
Will update e-KYC by going door-to-door

Workers will also give information about gas safety
Sales Officer LPG Bhupendra Nautiyal said that along with e-KYC updation, gas employees will also give information about gas safety to the people. E-KYC will help in identifying the right consumers. Those who are not getting subsidy due to some reason, it can also be started.
