Those who have been forced to pay LPG cylinder delivery charges every time, should not pay anything to the delivery boy for delivery at their doorstep.
Why you should not pay LPG cylinder delivery charges
According to some media reports, in the Right to Information (RTI) question filed with HPCL, the company has clarified that individuals who deliver gas cylinders to customers are not required to pay delivery charges.
“Yes, it is the responsibility of the gas distributor to supply the gas cylinders at the door of the consumer in the building / flat without charging any additional charges other than the amount mentioned in the bill.” Answer to this.

The RTI was filed by Karim Ansari, a resident of Hyderabad, when he was asked to pay additional charges on delivery of the gas cylinder.
HPCL has stated that consumers can refuse to pay the additional charges demanded by the delivery man.
Domestic gas distributors do not have any rules or instructions to collect additional amount in comparison to the retail sale price indicated on the cash memo of the LPG cylinder.
What to do when you are asked to pay LPG cylinder delivery charges
In response to the RTI, the company has suggested consumers to file a complaint with the company against the delivery man or gas distributor.
