Free LGP Cylinder: UP government has given a gift to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme before Diwali. The beneficiaries of this scheme will get two free cylinders in a year.
Free LGP Cylinder: A wonderful gift has been given to women by the Uttar Pradesh government before Diwali. After agreeing to a decision in the meeting chaired by CM Yogi, now free gas cylinders will be provided to 1.75 crore families in the state.
Let us tell you that during the campaign in the last assembly elections, in the public resolution letter issued by BJP, it had promised to give one free gas cylinder to women on the occasion of Diwali and Holi. After which, now UP Finance Minister Suresh Khanna has said that before Diwali, about 1.75 crore families of the state will get free LPG cylinders. There was a provision of Rs 3301.74 crore in the last budget for providing cylinders. From the budget amount, the state government will send Rs 660 to the account of each beneficiary of the Ujjwala scheme. At the same time, the central government will give Rs 300 as subsidy.
Subsidy was increased
Under this arrangement, these families will be able to get a free gas cylinder before Diwali. Whereas on the occasion of Holi also, free gas cylinders will be given from this budget. At present, the PM Cabinet has increased the subsidy for the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme from Rs 200 to Rs 300.

The amount will be transferred after so many days
According to reports, the beneficiary families will first have to fill the 14.2 kg cylinder. After 5 days, the amount of the cylinder will be transferred to the beneficiary’s account by the oil companies. Free cylinder facility will be available only on one connection of Ujjwala scheme. Under the scheme, beneficiaries will be able to get one free cylinder refill each in the quarters of October-December 2023 and January-March 2024 of the financial year 2023-24.
