Recently, one such announcement has been made by the government of Madhya Pradesh. This announcement is related to LPG cylinders and the women of the state are going to get direct benefit from it.
What is the announcement
Recently, the Madhya Pradesh government had announced to provide LPG cylinders for Rs 450 under the Ladli Bahana Yojana. State Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had said that 40 lakh Ladli Bahans having gas connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) and non-PMUY will be given domestic gas cylinders at the rate of Rs 450. The central government had given a gift
Last year, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the Narendra Modi government at the Center gave a big gift to all LPG consumers (33 crore connections) in its second term. Under this, the price of LPG cylinder was reduced by Rs 200 per cylinder. After this decision, the price of 14.2 kg cylinder in Delhi came down from Rs 1103 per cylinder to Rs 903 per cylinder.
After this, on March 8, 2024, the Modi government cut the price of the cylinder by Rs 100 on the occasion of Women’s Day. In this way, the price of LPG cylinder has now come down to Rs 803 in Delhi. At the same time, the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana get a subsidy of Rs 300. In such a situation, the beneficiaries of the scheme now buy cylinders for Rs 503.
