LPG Cylinder New Rules: Oil companies had already fixed the quota for LPG cylinders. Only 12 non-subsidized LPG cylinders can be purchased in a year. That means only 12 cylinders will be available in 12 months. If more cylinders are required than this, the oil companies have made a provision to provide three more cylinders, but the consumer will not get subsidy in lieu of these cylinders.
LPG Cylinder New Rules: If you have taken two cylinders in a month, then you will not get the third cylinder. This means that excessive consumption of LPG can put you in trouble during festivals or weddings at home. For the third cylinder, you may have to extend your hand to your neighbor or get the cylinder in black from the market. In March, many consumers got worried when they received a message not to book the third cylinder. Now preparations for getting a second connection have started in many houses.

Only 15 cylinders will be available in the entire year. Oil companies have decided that only 213 kg of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will be available in the entire year.
District Nodal Officer of Indian Oil, Kumar Gaurav said that this system has been made to prevent commercial use of domestic gas cylinders. If the consumption in the house is high then another connection will have to be taken.
If you have a big family then you are forced to take two connections.
In houses where more members live together, consumption of two cylinders of LPG every month is common. The consumption of LPG increases further during festivals or marriages. Now, with the arrangement of taking two cylinders in a month, such families will have to take at least two connections. You will have to spend extra money to get the connection.
Manjeet Srivastava of Golghar said that there are 24 members in my family. Two LPG cylinders are required every month. Consumption increases during festivals. I may not get a subsidized cylinder, but I should definitely get the cylinder as per my need. There should be a change in this system.
Naushad resident Shailesh Sahni said that LPG cylinder is in every house. Subsidy is also available only Rs 59.05. Instead of giving such low subsidy, it is better to ban this too. There should be arrangements to ensure that everyone can easily get as many cylinders as they require.
