Government oil and gas companies have given a great gift to the people on the first day of the New Year. Government oil companies informed about reduction in the price of LPG cylinders on Monday (January 1). In this way, the prices of LPG cylinders have decreased for the second time in a month.
Decreased prices of commercial cylinders
Government oil companies Indian Oil (IOC), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) have made this cut in the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder. However, this time the reduction in the price of LPG cylinder is very minor. In various cities, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has decreased by one and a half rupees from today, while there is no change in the price of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder.
Latest prices in major cities
After this cut, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has become Rs 1,755.50. Earlier it was available for Rs 1,757. In this way the price in Delhi has decreased by one and a half rupees. The maximum reduction of Rs 4.50 has taken place in Chennai, where a 19 kg cylinder will now be available for Rs 1,924.50. The price in Mumbai has decreased by Rs 1.50 to Rs 1,708.50. Whereas in Kolkata the price has increased by 50 paise and the latest price has become Rs 1,869.
Cut for the second time in a month
Earlier on December 22 also, oil marketing companies had reduced the price of commercial LPG cylinders. Then the price of 19 kg cylinder was reduced by Rs 30.50. Before that, on December 1 also, commercial LPG cylinders had become cheaper. Government oil companies review the price of LPG cylinders on a fortnightly basis.
Domestic cylinder prices stable
If we talk about domestic LPG cylinder i.e. 14 kg cylinder, this time also the customers are disappointed. There has been no change in the price of domestic cylinders for months. The last change in this was on August 30. Meaning, the price of 14 kg cylinder has been stable for 4 months. Currently, domestic LPG cylinder is available in Delhi for Rs 903. Its price is Rs 918.50 in Chennai, Rs 902.50 in Mumbai and Rs 929 in Kolkata.
